Living Essence is a licensed Residential Service Agency providing non-medical personal assistance in the home. Everything below is what we do — and we’re just as clear about what we don’t.
Activities of daily living
Bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care, always with attention to privacy and personal preference.
Mobility & transfers
Ambulation support, safe transfers, fall-prevention awareness, and assistance using walkers, canes, and other assistive devices.
Nutrition & meals
Meal planning, preparation, and dietary observation, including assistance with eating by mouth.
Home management
Light housekeeping, laundry, bed-making, tidying shared spaces, and routine home safety checks.
Medication support
Reminders, observation, and reporting to the family or care team. Caregivers do not administer or adjust medication.
Companionship
Conversation, shared activities, social engagement, and regular wellness check-ins that reduce isolation.
Escort & errands
Accompaniment to appointments, grocery shopping, worship services, and community activities.
Coordination & documentation
Progress notes, communication with family and outside providers, and updates to the plan of support as needs change.
Family guidance & emergency readiness
Practical education on safety, mobility, and everyday care techniques, plus a written emergency plan for each home so everyone knows what to do if something unexpected happens.
Being clear
What we don't do.
Saying this plainly protects everyone. Living Essence provides non-medical support only. Our caregivers do not:
- Administer, adjust, or manage medication
- Perform skilled nursing, wound care, or injections
- Diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice
- Provide physical, occupational, or speech therapy
- Make financial, legal, or medical decisions on your behalf
If a need falls outside our scope, we’ll say so and help you find the right provider.
